Are kegel exercises effective for women?


My friend's girlfriend is getting married to someone else and they had a breakup at a good note now she don't want her fiance to know about her loose vagina. I have talked to that girl and she said that kegel exercises for women are very effective. Can anyone let me know that is it really effective and when will it start showing results?

For a woman with loose vagina, it can be quite embarrassing to talk about the issue. The loose vagina might embarrass you during sex. You might even have trouble in holding urine. When the vagina becomes too loose, urine might leak while coughing, sneezing and even while laughing.

Kegel exercises are often effective in tightening the vagina. Although, the exercises might not reduce the size of the vagina, but by tightening the pelvic floor muscles, they will tighten the vaginal opening. By increasing the elasticity of the pelvic floor muscles, Kegel exercises improve sexual pleasure.

Kegel exercises should be performed five to ten times each day. The pelvic floor muscles should be contracted and relaxed five to ten times during each exercise session. Make sure that you are squeezing the right muscles while exercising. You will feel your vagina tightening when the pelvic floor muscle moves upwards. It might take about 8 to 10 weeks to realize the benefits of Kegel exercises. In some cases, it might take longer to notice the improvements. For better result, you can use a vaginal barbell while exercising.

If you notice no change despite exercising for more than three months, you can seek other treatment options for tightening the vagina.
